The picturesque Titchfield village hosted an array of original art and craft in an exhibition at the end of October. A move of venue for Fareham Art Group to Titchfield Community Centre resulted in a great turnout of visitors.

Fareham Art Group’s annual art exhibition has been held at the Ferneham Hall in Fareham town centre in the past. However, this year the new venue in Titchfield proved immensely popular with visitors. Fareham Art Group is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2021.

A large percentage of the Group’s members submitted paintings in all media. Subjects included landscapes, animals, nature and portraits, with styles varying from subtle to bold.

Around the central area where the paintings were hung, a variety of crafters and artisans presented items for sale. Their work featured diverse skills, ranging from textile art, to stained glass, to felted pictures, to painted ceramics and sculptures.

Of course there were plenty of refreshments available too, which always keeps the visitors happy!

I was pleased to get lots of positive feedback about my stained glass work – particularly on new artworks that had not been seen in public before. Christmas decorations, cat sculptures and quirky birds were the most popular purchases, along with decorated vases. Thanks to everyone who came along and said hello.

If you missed this year’s event, you can still buy unique gifts for yourself or for Christmas presents via my website shop.

Alternatively, I’ll be in Surrey at the Craft & Flea event in Guildford Cathedral on Saturday 13 November 2021.

Make a note to visit the Fareham Art Group Titchfield art and craft fair in 2022!
