I designed this stained glass dragon for a very special new grandson who arrived recently.

To ensure it was kept safely away from little hands, I decided to make it as a wall piece. His parents are keen on fantasy and dragons and had decorated the nursery with big, friendly dragon designs.

I wanted my dragon to catch the light, so I chose two pieces of iridescent glass in white and warm blue.

The wings were angled to reflect the light too.

The funny feet were made from solder and wire, with further details, like the scaly back, made from blacked wire. Of course he is a friendly dragon, with a smiley face.

The baby’s parents were very pleased with this gift. The baby has yet to comment 😉 .

Hopefully when he is older, he will enjoy his unique dragon wall art.
