Green Dragonfly decorated vase

This richly coloured, green glass vase has a ground of aqua green glass and a spiralling green-and-white decoration running around and down the whole piece.

A handmade stained glass dragonfly adds an extra dimension as it flies around the top of the bulbous vase. Its wings match the green and white of the vase itself, while its body is made from a pale, creamy coloured, textured stained glass. It has secondary wings and antennae made from blackened wire, with a further curl of wire suggestive of its direction of travel through the air.

Standing at a good 26cm high, and weighing just over 1.7kg, this vase is a lovely statement piece in a cheerful and dramatic colour way. It would suit modern or traditional homes alike and would look great on a sideboard, as a table centrepiece or in a window.
