My final event of 2022 will be at The Beeches’ Garden Gallery in the attractive village of Bishop’s Waltham in Hampshire.
I have been invited to exhibit my stained glass in a lovely garden gallery alongside the beautiful creations of two other creatives. Jane Ogden-Swift and Lois Mahoney are established artists working in clay, each with her own distinctive style.
Jane Ogden-Swift has a passion for hand building her ceramics, creating large sculptural pieces for display in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Most of her work is made in stoneware. She says, “I particularly like the white colour and texture of the Scarva Earthstone clay and the earthy tones of a heavily grogged crank clay fired in a reducing atmosphere. I rarely use glazes, preferring the clay to speak for itself with the aid of different oxides.”
In contrast, Lois Mahoney’s ceramics are on the quirky side, with her ‘The Carousels’ series of wheeled horses capturing the playfulness of the carnival and fair.
Alongside their work, some of which will have a Christmas theme, I’ll be showing a variety of stained glass artworks at prices to suit all budgets, ranging from freestanding panels to Christmas sculptures and decorations for the home.
The event takes place over the weekend of 12 and 13 November 2022, and is open from 10am to 4pm both days.
Location: The Beeches, Rareridge Lane, Bishops Waltham SO321DX. There are two routes in, either drive up Oak Road and turn right at the top, then drive until you reach the third house from the end on the left in Rareridge Lane. If you are coming from Hoe Road into Rareridge Lane, it is the third house on the right as you enter the Lane.
We look forward to seeing you!
If you cannot attend, do have a browse of my website shop. The Christmas section is open now.
