Orange vase with flower

This sweet orange vase may be small in stature but it packs a punch in terms of bold and cheerful colours. The main body of this vas is made from zingy orange glass, with a pattern of random coloured glass organic shapes in red, yellow, orange, black, green and blue around the bottom half.

It has been simply embellished with a daisy-type flower in shiny black stained glass, with a centrepiece star design with an orange border created from a single glass millefiori mosaic bead. Around the bead is a textured layer of decorative solder blobs, providing additional interest.

As the flower is mounted on wire, it can be gently tapped to make it bounce and reflect the light from the different surfaces.
