Force Of Nature Panel

Free-standing panels are great for people who love glass art but don’t necessarily want a window design. They can sit happily on a shelf, mantelpiece, cupboard or – as a client suggested recently – as a focal point in front of a disused fireplace.

This panel is created from gently undulating white glass, each piece edged with copper foil which has been patinated in black to provide a strong contrast and emphasise the upward-flowing design. Delicate, narrow channels and pods are cut out for added interest, while wire seed heads spring from the tops. The natural, growing feel is emphasised with thin wire additions and further texture is added with black glass ‘seeds’. A totally unique piece.
